Pakistan Flood Victims Need Your Help

I’m sure a lot of you have seen the news about the Pakistan Floods. I am writing this blog post to ask for assistance in helping the Pakistani People in their time of need. Please donate to your local charities

A lot of Charities in the US and around the world are looking to donors to help fund the relief efforts. UN has called this the worst disaster on Earth.

You can Also Follow #pkfloods and #pkrelief to see the current efforts underway . The State Department has a page here that details how you can help. To See how people in pakistan are working together to crowsource info Please visit http://pakrelief.crowdmap.com/

While there are many charities . I would like to list below a couple of charities That are very active on the ground

I urge you to help in any way you can. If you live in Illinois Various mosques including Islamic Foundation North Will be taking in Clothes and non perishible items . Email is Attached Below.

Dear Community members, Assalamualikum, As you have seen and aware of situation in Pakistan, IFN community has responded and we collected and disposed funds for Pakistan Flood relief. May Allah bless you and reward you all for generosity and quick response to help our brother and sister who are in need. IFN is teaming up with Helping Hands to collect basic necessity items for Pakistan flood relief victims. Helping Hands schedule a truck to pick-up basic necessity items at IFN Please drop-off items at schedule time, after truck leaves, IFN will not accept items. Listed are items collecting for flood relief:

§ Blankets

§ Comforters

§ Bed sheets

§ Towels (linen items)

§ Shoes (have pair tied)

§ Jackets and sweaters,

§ Bag Pack

§ Shalwar Khameez. Tied up together

§ Non perishable Food only

§ Medicine, medical Equipment

§ No Appliances

Pick-up Basic Necessity items for Flood Relief

Oracle openworld 2010 preparations underway

So Oracle Openworld starts sep 19-23 But the preparation are already underway with the Schedule Builder going Live Yesterday.

The Official HashTag for Openworld 2010 is #oow2010 and @oracleopenworld can¬† be followed to get all the updates.

George Woods has started his yearly Tweeters Attending Blogpost here and i’m not many more resources will popup as OpenWorld Nears.

This Year Oracle OPenworld is expected to¬† be be massive with Java One Also added to the mix.

I am going to be Down in SFO this year and hoping to meet people as well as learn new stuff.
